Dr. Teun Boekhout Visit - 27 March 2008

On 27 Mac 2008, Dr. Teun paid a visit in Malaysia. He was invited by Dr. Munir and Dr. Farah to present on 'Comparative Genomics of Basidiomycetous Yeasts' and 'Efficient Publication Strategies for Microbiologists'. I think it was a very rewarding talk from him. Besides that, Dr. Munir gave a presentation on 'Current Effort on L.antarcticum Genome Sequence'. There were two other presenter which were Kak Bulat from UKM (Production of Recombinant antifreeze Protein from L. antarcticum) and Mohd Shukuri from UPM (Characterization of Lipase and Protease of L. antarcticum). It was actually a very interesting presentation. This event was attended by rep from UKM, UPM, USM and UTM.
